AWS Security Competency and More — Deepening our Ties with AWS

Since a lot of our customers build and run their applications in AWS, our partnership and joint solution delivery with AWS provides enormous value. We’re excited to share that we’ve deepened our ties to AWS in two compelling ways, by achieving AWS WAF Ready Status and earning AWS Security Competency. Salt is the first and only API security company in both of these vital AWS programs.

Protecting APIs – and the sensitive and critical data they transport – has become a key business priority. We want to make it easy for customers to deploy the Salt Security API Protection Platform in their environment of choice. By making it simple for AWS customers to adopt Salt directly from the AWS Marketplace, we enable our joint customers to procure and benefit from our API security capabilities much faster.

Achieving the AWS WAF Ready designation differentiates Salt as an APN member whose solution has been proven to work with AWS WAF and is available for and fully supports AWS customers. Working “better together”, the Salt API Protection Platform and AWS WAF give businesses a best-of-breed solution to protect and secure their APIs.

In addition to being certified AWS WAF Ready, Salt today announced AWS Security Competency certification. This certification acknowledges our deep expertise and ability to seamlessly deliver the Salt Security API Protection Platform on AWS.

API threats abound in today’s digital-first economy. With Salt, enterprises gain the industry’s most-proven, purpose-built API solution. Leveraging our time-tested AI and ML algorithms and API data lake architecture, Salt can correlate activities across billions of API calls in real-time. This adaptive intelligence allows us to detect behavioral anomalies over time that indicate possible API threats. We capture the signals that other solutions miss, and – in the process – give organizations unsurpassed power to defend their APIs from attack.

With API attackers becoming more sophisticated every single day, our unique capabilities help protect the critical and sensitive data being driven by APIs and used by every digital company worldwide. We are excited to make these capabilities easy for organizations to adopt and implement within their existing environments, which is why these announcements matter so much to us.

If you would like to understand how Salt and AWS WAF can help you better protect your APIs, feel free to watch our on-demand webinar with Salt Field CTO Nick Rago and AWS Sr. Security Consultant Matthew McCarty. We will also be at AWS re:Inforce 2023 June 13-14 and would love to meet in person. Feel free to contact us to set up a meeting.
